Player Invites
The Velvet Room DR is an invite-only community. At this time, we have a monthly cap of six new players, As of 10/31/24, we no longer have a wait period on invites per player. If you have multiple friends who'd like to join, feel free to do so! Just keep in mind that we still have the monthly cap.
You may begin inviting friends one week after your first character introduction. We also allow people to submit invites in the server; the purpose of this post is to be accessible to those who can't/do not wish to join it but may have friends to invite to the community.
Note: The invite cap is per player, not per character. Your friends are welcome to bring in as many characters as they feel comfortable playing.

Additionally, here are some guidelines...
• Must be 18+.
• Must be able to abide by the rules. We want to have faith in our members, but since we're a small community, we also wanna make sure everyone can be cool with each other.
• We have a sort of honor system when it comes to invited players. We want to trust that our members will invite friendly people who will gel well with the playerbase. We also accept players who are new to RPing or who may wish to voicetest. It's a DR, so we wanna keep things fun and relaxed. With that being said, if a player has concerns, you may reach out to us on our contact post.
• We also ask that invited players join the discord or OOC comm (![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
vrdr_ooc) to introduce themselves, so we can get to know new players. After 24 hours of being in the server/after the OOC intro, players may post their IC intro. This is to give existing players a chance to meet newcomers, since we are all so small.
• We also have a voucher system, where if three players can vouch for a new member, the wait period is waived.
In the event that players cannot join the Discord for any reason, they are welcome to post on the OOC community with an intro and we will welcome them there.
